About Me
Hi, I’m Jess - a full-time pet sitter based in Erie Pennsylvania!**
Before stepping into this work full time, my life looked a little different. For nearly a decade, I was self-employed as a singer-songwriter, performing locally and regionally while also building my herbal tea company, Sacred Ayla Tea Co., from the ground up. Between music, my online business, and the many side jobs I picked up along the way, I spent years learning how to manage my own schedule, communicate professionally, juggle multiple responsibilities, and work independently. Being self-employed for so long taught me how to be adaptable, reliable, and deeply self-motivated, all qualities that naturally carried over into pet sitting.
While I still run my tea company in a slower and more intentional way these days, I have taken a step back from performing for the public (now, primarily just singing to the pets I watch!) Over time, I found myself being pulled toward something unexpected: caring for animals.
What started as occasional pet sitting quickly became something much deeper. The more time I spent caring for pets in their own homes, keeping their routines steady, their environments familiar, and their anxiety low while their people were away, the more I realized how meaningful this work truly was to me.
There’s something incredibly special about earning an animal’s trust. Watching a shy dog slowly warm up to you, keeping a senior pet comfortable in their routine, or simply being a calm and loving presence while their family is away never feels small to me. Somewhere along the way, pet sitting stopped feeling like a side job and started feeling like exactly what I was meant to be doing.
Now, I dedicate myself to this work full time, and I approach every visit with patience, presence, attentiveness, and genuine care. My goal is always to make your time away feel as stress-free as possible, not only for your pets, but for you, too. I want your animals to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and understood while remaining in the place they know best: home.
And as an added bonus, I’m incredibly clean and detail-oriented, so you can rest easy knowing your home will be well cared for and respected while you’re away. Coming home to happy pets and a tidy space is something I genuinely take pride in.

Services & Pricing
The more experience I’ve gained, the more I’ve realized that pet sitting really isn’t a one-number-fits-all kind of service. Every stay is different, and pricing depends on things like location, how much time is needed in the home, and how much of my day needs to be dedicated to your pets.
Since starting out, I’ve learned that overnight stays can look very different from one household to the next. Some involve primarily evening and morning care, while others require a significant amount of daytime availability, too. As I’ve gained experience, I’ve gotten a much clearer understanding of how to structure my services and pricing to reflect the time, flexibility, and level of care each stay requires.
That’s why, for 2027, I’m introducing different levels of in-home care. Some pets need someone for their evening and morning routines, while others need more daytime companionship, supervision, or nearly constant care. I want my pricing to reflect the actual level of care each stay requires, set clear expectations from the beginning, and offer options that make sense for different households.
Drop-In Visits
Starting at $30/visit
Short, scheduled visits tailored to your pets’ needs. Depending on your pet(s), visits can include meals, walks, potty breaks, fresh water, medications, playtime, and some extra love and companionship while you’re away.
Overnight In-Home Care
$100/night (dinner time through breakfast/late morning)
Care focused on your pets’ evening and morning routines, including dinner, bedtime, breakfast, and overnight companionship. I’ll spend the night in your home, with time away during the day to care for other clients, run errands, and take care of personal things. Best for pets who enjoy having someone home overnight but are comfortable spending portions of the day on their own.
Extended In-Home Care
$175/day
For pets who need more company and supervision throughout the day, this option allows me to dedicate most of my workday to your home. I’ll be there to maintain routines, provide companionship, and stay available for your pets’ needs, with only brief periods away as necessary. It’s a great middle ground for pets who need more daytime presence than overnight care provides, but don’t require nearly constant care.
24/7 In-Home Care
$250/day
The most dedicated level of care, with my schedule centered almost entirely around your household. I’ll remain in your home and available to your pets nearly around the clock, with very little time away. This can be especially helpful for pets who need close supervision, have medical or special needs, experience separation anxiety, or simply do best with a consistent human presence.
The main distinction is that Overnight Care prioritizes evenings and mornings, Extended In-Home Care adds substantial daytime presence, and 24/7 Care means dedicating nearly my entire schedule to your household.
I mainly care for dogs/almost of my bookings are for dogs, so my standard pricing is based on dog care. I love my kitty clients, too, and I’m always happy to talk about a customized rate for cat-only households based on their needs and the care involved!
